A Motel, A Mission, and The Making of a Maverick

My journey into the world of leadership didn't commence in a boardroom but within the modest confines of a 39-unit motel nestled in the Berkshires of New England. Amidst the daily hustle, an aversion to cleaning thrust me into the de facto office manager role. This unearthed my entrepreneurial spirit and a knack for process improvement.

This early exposure to entrepreneurship propelled me to explore and innovate. My initial act of independence was a mission to promote my parents' motel at a Chamber of Commerce meeting. This inaugural foray into networking and promotion marked the genesis of a lifelong passion for connection and innovation.

Determined to hone my skills, I enrolled at the Katharine Gibbs School in Boston, Massachusetts, renowned for cultivating top-tier executive secretaries. This endeavor was about discerning a business's pulse, anticipating needs, and spearheading innovation.

My journey didn't halt there. I pursued a degree in Information Systems, merging my innate analytical prowess and strategic mindset with technological acumen. This amalgamation of skills laid the groundwork for a lifelong mission to streamline and enhance business processes.

With the entrepreneurial spirit coursing through my veins, I started aiding small businesses in transitioning from the chaos of paperwork to the clarity of digital systems. This process enhancement phase underscored the power of technology in reshaping businesses.

However, life presented unforeseen challenges. In 2010, a personal health battle in the form of breast cancer reshaped my perspective and approach to business. This experience served as a stark reminder not only for myself but as an essential component of my business philosophy.

Pursuing structured protocols and a deeper impact, I attained my PMP certification in 2017. This chapter of my career primarily focused on refining processes with corporate infrastructure and laid the groundwork for future innovations.

With the emergence of AI, my passion for technology has discovered new horizons. I harness the latest advancements to enhance business processes and pioneer novel working methods that are efficient, effective, and harmonious.
